Description
ensemble reflektor’s new album focuses on remarkable works by female composers. Ethel Smyth’s “Serenade in D” was ignored in its time as she struggled for recognition from male critics, and even her own family. The second half features works revolving around social issues, politics, physics and artificial intelligence. Guided by reflektor’s principal conductor Holly Hyun Choe, this was a passion project true to their declared vision of a music culture without boundaries.
